I moved cross-country from Colorado to Washington DC and my experience with Moving Mania was terrible. Some of my items were lost, almost everything was damaged, some items were severely damaged, and everything was delivered late. Beginning to end it was a terrible experience.
The crew arrived 5 hours late to pick up my stuff. While they were moving my stuff one of the movers hit his 12 hour work limit for the day. This resulted in them not being able to disassemble and pack my dining room table. Instead they loaded it on the truck as it was and told me they would take care of it at the warehouse. Due to their haste, they dropped my desk on the rocks in front of our house and banged our ceilings and walls as they were moving furniture. They also did not pack the truck very carefully or tightly since they were short on time so I was overcharged. When my items arrived at my destination in a different truck they clearly took up less space than what I had paid for.
They told me my items would arrive 7-12 days later. I didn't receive my items until 20 days later. The boxes I had sent with them were wet. They lost my end table and the legs to my dining room table. Almost every other piece of furniture was scratched or chipped. My bedroom dresser arrived with a broken drawer and a huge chunk of wood gouged out of the front. Keeping track of items is clearly an issue for this company as they tried to give me a box that apparently belonged with the delivery they had made the day before.
I contacted the company and they told me they were looking for my missing items. About a week later I was informed that they had found the legs to our dining room table but they could not tell me when they would be shipping them to me or when I could expect to get them. I called several times to follow up and could not get a straight answer. They never found my missing end table. Finally, almost three weeks after my items were delivered, we received the table legs in the mail. However they arrived without the hardware to reattach them to the table top.
The only positive aspect of this moving company was that they were upfront about their costs. There were no hidden fees. I was not charged anything that I was unaware of. They stuck to the price per cubic foot estimate they gave me.
