Summit Van Lines Reviews - 12

Worry Marie R.

A friend familiar with Summit Van Lines recommended them to handle my move from Ft Lauderdale to Denver on May 8th. 2015. I am so glad I used them, from sales to delivery everyone has been professional and there were no extra charges or problems with delivery. They were timely and in touch with me as dates approached. They get 5 stars from me on all the services. Local team that loaded was helpful and worked efficiently. They stored my property while I arrived in Denver and then promptly sent to me. I was in temporary housing so the team that delivered was patient with me as I decided what went in the home and what stayed in the garage. They were very careful with property and attentive to my needs. I recommend them to others as a stand up company. No funny business!

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! NEVER USE THEM IF YOU VALUE YOUR BELONGINGS!!! Not only did they damage property moving furniture but they also lost some of our belongings and claimed they would correct and find said belongings BUT HAVE NOT. IT HAS BEEN OVER A MONTH AND THEY HAVE NOT RETURNED ANYTHING!!! Also, when hired I was informed that only my belonging would be on the truck but they actually "piggy-backed" my items with someone else and that is how they lost my belongings. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

Summit Van Lines provided poor service!!!by Kim E.

The moving company did not deliver my father's items in a timely manner. I was told to provide a 1st available date, which I did, then I was told that the company had up to ten (10) days after that date to deliver items, which were finally delivered beyond the ten (10) day window. Upon arrival items were broken (glass tabletop), desk, etc. or missing. The driver stated that items were picked up from wherever the company stores them that way (REALLY??!!)... and photos were needed to file a claim. I've tried contacting the company and no one has called me back yet!!! I paid all fees up front, therefore there should not have been an issue.

Fast and on timeby Tom P.

They arrived at the house at the agreed upon time. Wrapped and padded everything within an hour and loaded the truck..The move was from Spring Hill Fla. to Pine Bush NY and it arrived on the designated day and time and put the furniture in all the rooms with no problem. Would recommend them anytime....

Great!by Susann T.

I don't remember the names but they were there on time, were courteous and professional and fast. I moved from Melbourne, fl to Midlothian, tx - I moved everything into a storage facility- one of the movers was actually there to unload. :). Other companies get locals to unload - he knew my belongings because he loaded them ! I definitely recommend Summit Van Lines

Decent Move, a few Mistakes, but nothing majorby Buck D.

Securing the move and working with the office staff was flawless. Great communication and follow-up. On the day of the move out, they showed up right on time and with the proper crew. Took a little longer than I expected, but no major hiccups. We had pre-paid for a shuttle truck because we knew the full-size truck would not fit on our street. This was news to the driver but he was appreciative of the communication. This changed the delivery from 8am to 10am. No biggie, except they didn't actually arrive with our stuff until 2:30pm. Not the end of the world, but we wasted a day waiting. Upon the end of the move-in, our guest bed was broken (missing a leg) and our master bed had no screws (the driver said he gave them to me, I have no recollection of that at all, but I was able to purchase new screws after a few trips to the hardware store). Again, not a huge deal. Upon unpacking, we've had several (about 7) glasses that are broken, but we packed ourselves so again, could be on us. This was my second across country move and for the price, it was pretty good. Not perfect, but good. My first move was corporate paid and was near perfect, but I know the company paid about $3,000 more than we paid for Summit. So, yes, I would probably recommend or use them again.

Great job!by Liz O.

It was great! Though both sets of movers showed up a little early, which through off my schedule a bit. However, each group did great. The staff on the phones were very helpful.
