I used Advanced Moving when I moved from Chicago to Virginia Beach. Two years later I was moving to Yakima Washington and having a hard time finding a moving company, on a whim I called Advanced because they did a wonderful job on my previous move. It just so happened they had a truck going to Florida around the same time I was moving, I was so glad I had called. They did a great job both times. They are very friendly and easy to work with from the office staff to the moving crew. If I move again I am definitely calling them. I would recommend them to anyone needing their service !

Advanced Moving & Storage, Inc. Reviews - 8
So this was my first move ever by myself, and I could not be happier with how it turned out! I was relocating to the Chicago area from Tampa, FL and I had 3 weeks to move. Advanced Moving & Storage not only arrived in the time frame they quoted me on 06-07-15, but they packed up my car, furniture and all of my boxes with no issues. They also stayed in contact with me before, during and after the move. My belongings arrived on 06-10-15 in one piece (including my car), and they moved me into my new house. I would recommend AM&S to anyone whether your moving across town or across the country!

Thank you for such an excellent review. We're happy to be of service!
Advanced Moving and Storage were very professional. They arrived on time and finished the job in less than the estimated time. All 6 members were professional and didn’t waste any time. My biggest fear was moving the furniture, but they used blankets and also used shrink wrap around every furniture piece and didn’t damage any piece. I would highly recommend them.
It started out fine, the people are very nice, and professional responses were received when they wanted to obtain the business. A person possibly not fully qualified came out to the residence and gave a quote. The movers arrived on time on the day of the move, but they tried hurrying things along even after bringing a second truck. That was ok. There were several items that we witnessed directly go on the truck that never made it to our destination, and the inventory list was hurried and inadequate. We have yet to receive a reply to these issues. In addition we were promised a copy of the truck weigh ins, and still have not received them nor a response as to why we haven't. The person from the company was in a hurry to leave at the move in, and as a result, made an excuse for not assembling one of the beds. He left and it did not get assembled.
My move date from Illinois to North Carolina was March 28th. Lynn was the one I contacted for a quote. She was extremely quick , knowledgeable , reassuring and professional. Once I made the decision to use the company, I paid a small deposit fee and the movers were there to pick up my things on March 26th. The workers were very polite and friendly as well as careful. I was told my things would be delivered between April 2 -5th. My things were delivered in excellent condition on the morning of April 2nd! There were no surprise charges/fees . I am very pleased with my service.
I was initially concerned about Advanced, having read some of the reviews. However, I contacted the company and spoke with one of the owners, Tyler. He acknowledged the problems they had previously, said the had addressed them, and promised they would provide a seamless experience. I believed him.
His team arrived on time, packed everything extremely well. They were courteous, professional and finished packing and loading, when they said they would.
Since it was small move it had to go with a larger shipment and we were informed there would be a window of 3 to 10 days. we were moving from Illinois to South Carolina. They kept in contact with us regarding progress and anticipated delivery date. They got it to us within the window promised.
When they arrived in Charleston we had 4 separate locations to drop items off at, the first being our home. The crew who delivered was also extremely professional, careful and courteous. They did a marvelous job. Most importantly everything was delivered in perfect condition. I had a fair amount of pottery and art. Everythinkg was in pristine condition.
As far as I am concerned Advanced did exactly what we wanted. They exceeded our expectations. Businesses sometimes face management issues. Perhaps Advanced was "guilty" of some of the negatoive comments I read. But, if they did, they appear to have solved them. For my money these folks are great

Our movers initially called on the day we were scheduled to move and canceled on us. Our whole crew had called in sick. They moved our move to the following day which was very frustrating. They said this has never happened before. Imagine having everything all packed up and ready to move and they say they aren't coming until the next day. The next day they did come and came an hour later than the initial time of arrival. The move went about three hours over the quoted time. The movers took about 4 1/2 hours to load everything and an hour to unload plus travel time. One of the movers was good. The others were slow and did not seem in a hurry to get anything done in a timely fashion which was frustrating. They were very nice and the move was cheaper than other companies and that was our main priority. Everything arrived in good condition and was packed well.
If you like having things stolen, boxes marked as fragile get totally destroyed, the lack of caring from Sue (owner/manager), not being honest with shipping weight, destroyed cushions on furniture, oil stains in futon mattress, damaging $1,500 dresser, stealing 2x mountain bikes, a netbook, and a camcorder. Then only giving you $200 on the claim you made because "I don't see those things on the inventory list" then this company is right for you. Otherwise RUNNNNNNNNNN AWAY FAST, hire you next door neighbors 3 year old to do the move for you, you would be in better shape that way.
Advanced Moving & Storage, Inc.
Advanced Moving & Storage creates a detailed inventory of everything that is loaded from a customer's home onto our truck. At the time of loading the customer's belongings onto our truck the customer signs the household goods descriptive inventory form which depicts all of our customer's belongings that are being transported by Advanced Moving & Storage. The Household goods descriptive inventory form also notes any pre-existing damage to the furniture. Upon delivery, the customer has the option of taking exception to the items on the inventory list and normally will note any damage. A claim was filed with our company in regard to damage which occurred during this move. We processed the claim based on the valuation coverage chosen by the customer. The claim was opened on December 27, 2013. On January 31, 2014, the customer wrote to tell us he was missing (2) mountain bikes. These items were not listed on the household goods descriptive inventory form from the day of loading our customer's belongings onto our truck and no exceptions or mention of the bikes was made at the time of delivery. The crew members who loaded our customer's household goods were interviewed in reference to the 2 mountain bikes. The crew members responded they did not recall seeing the bikes. There is no documentation to support providing compensation for these items. We do regret that any damage occurred during the move. We fully compensated the customer for a new futon mattress, provided repair compensation for some dresser mirror hinges that were damaged and repair compensation for a tear in the seam of their sofa. We do regret that any damaged occurred during the move but we have processed the claim based on the level of valuation the customer chose and in a timely manner.
