I went with this mover even though they were more expensive than others because the original estimator (owner?) seemed professional and knowledgeable. I was very disappointed that the moving van was a rented U-Haul and the two movers were very concerned that all my belongings would not fit. A lot of damages have shown up - dents & scratches on several pieces of wood furniture and a lot of tears and shredded fabric on my Tempurpedic box spring which is nearly new. The final cost was almost $300 more than the estimate. I did not like the fact that each phase of the move was charged separately. I've moved several times in the past nine years and this is the first time I was overcharged.

We chose Moving Proz after reading many positive reviews and speaking to Marlene in their front office. We only needed help with some larger items as we were going to box up and move most of our house.
The moving crew of Andrew, Jake, and Jesse arrived on time and were excited to see there were very few items to move and said they will be way under the 3 hours we contracted for.
We paid the $65 for "heavy duty floor protection" and learned the protection they were going to use was an old, dirty roll of red felt that they placed on the threshold of the front door.
I had to leave to run an errand and my wife stayed with the movers. They immediately slowed down and spent the next 30-45 minutes arguing with her about how to take apart a desk (we have moved it many times), and then they took apart a bed that was already to move. They were very clearly dragging their feet to extend the time. They took 2 1/2 hours to move a few items through an empty house. They did not bring any tools beyond a screwdriver and I had to dig mine out and show them how to take off my fridge doors.
The crew was inexperienced, or just negligent in the way they move items.
Our stainless steel refrigerator now has several dents and scratches from the crew not protecting the doors at all during transport. They completely broke a drawer on the desk they spent so long taking apart and then hid the broken drawer when they placed it in the storage room of the new house. They broke a fist-sized hole in the back of an entertainment center and then placed against a wall with some boxes in front to hide the damage.
There was a leather couch, loveseat, and chair that was not strapped down properly, causing EVERY top corner to be rubbed down to the wood. When my wife noticed the couches and brought it to Andrews attention; he became very defensive and denied they caused anything at all. We explained the items had never been moved since purchasing new. Andrew continued to deny they did anything; although they did now work even faster. Unfortunately for us, when they began going faster; they began damaging our new house. They ran a piece of furniture down the top tread of a wood floor leading to a staircase. They gouged the post for the stair railing. They slammed into the top and side of the front entryway, and dented the wood around where the refrigerator is placed.
I could hear Andrew swearing at us when he did not think we could see or hear him.
When they finally finished moving and damaging our house and items; Andrew realized he had not completed ANY paperwork yet. Andrew tried to get me to sign a list of damaged items (that he made) and say the damage was there PRIOR to them arriving. I told him I would not sign that paper and had them write the damage on the back of the paperwork he had to turn in.
Andrew insisted the roll of dirty red felt was the "heavy duty floor protection" that cost $65.00 and refused to take it off of the bill.
I attempted to contact the number listed on the paperwork that was to be used in the event of any problems. Nobody answered the phone or ever returned a message.
The company would not return emails or phone calls and Marlene kept telling me the decision-makers were out of town on moves. I began to call everyday and finally spoke to Derek.
Derek gave me great lip service about how he can't believe this crew would act the way I said they had. Derek said he would personally take care of this problem and would most surely refund the $65 for floor protection ( the floor protection was supposed to be Ram Board, not dirty felt). Derek had some supposed wood repair guy named Rudy call me to come fix my brand new house. I am not going to have anyone sent by this unprofessional and uncaring company touch anything else in my house.
Derek also said he did not show any damaged items on the paperwork Andrew had turned in after the move. Andrew had not turned in the same paperwork we completed in my house. I sent Marlene (front office) pictures of the paperwork showing where Andrew had written down the damage he and his crew had caused.
I have now never heard back from Derek (he promised to call in 3-4 days) after more than 2 weeks.
Marlene in the office has always been very kind and responsive, unfortunately, she does not actually do the moves!
This company is dishonest, uncaring and not professional at all. I would never recommend them to anyone.
Due to a recent injury I was required to find a moving company to help my relocation scheduled for 3 days later. The office scheduler quickly accommodated all of my needs, and provided me with an estimate which ended up being exactly correct. The moving crew arrived right on time and went straight to work. None of my items or residences were damaged in any way, and they took care to make sure everything was in the correct locations in my new apartment. Everyone I interacted with at Moving Proz behaved in an absolutely polite and professional manner. I would absolutely recommend this organization for my friends or my future relocation needs.
The mover called several times from the time I booked up until our move confirming dates and times and making sure there were no more questions. The move went as planned. Nothing was lost in the move or broken.

They got a little lost finding my house but once they got there they really went to work! I was amazed joe fast they had everything loaded. Once the truck was packed up it was a quick trip to the new house and a quick unload. I didn't have to move anything and a move has never felt so relaxed!

They were absolutely wonderful. The office stayed in contact with us. They were on time, but short one man. But the two great kids who did come, worked twice as hard and did the job including a piano!!!
This was my third experience with Moving Proz and I have not been disappointed. Derek is easy to work with and his prices are fair and reasonable. He goes out of his way to make the move comfortable.

Last year, when I used them for the first time, I had two movers and they worked so incredibly fast and really did a great job. It was a newer company and I think they were really focused on building the company.
This year, I had three different movers, they were polite and mostly professional, but not very fast. Most every piece of furniture was scratched or damaged on some level and they totally destroyed my desk as they took it down stairs.
Then, at time to pay the bill, they charged me nearly double. They offered me a 10% discount for being a repeat customer. But on the 'overage' of the three people they sent and the fact that they weren't very fast, they charged me the hourly rate times three people... I even bought them pizza and they charged me from before they arrived to my place and charged me for the time they ate the meal I bought them... and refused to provide the 10% discount on the 'overage'...
Overall, I would never use them again and am making sure to tell everyone I know who's looking for movers NOT to go with this company. It's really very sad because a year earlier, they did an amazing job and I just wanted a repeat of what they'd done before.
