The manager, William, came to do a walk through and provided me with a cost estimate and we booked my desired move date/time 2-3 weeks before our move. He was prompt, friendly and answered all of my questions. The quote was reasonable. Between the price and William's professionalism I chose You Move Me out of the three options I received quotes from.
The three movers arrived on time on move day and even offered coffee service! They were all nice, efficient and careful with our belongings. The supervisor went over everything with us upon arrival and checked in with us periodically throughout the move. The move ended up costing more than was quoted but that was because we added some additional items and because we purchased many move blankets and had items wrapped prior to moving.
The only thing I rated less than 5 stars was the communication. Following my initial walk through with William he did send me a quote via email. The quote did not indicate the date/time we discussed but it did outline the price. Several days prior to the move he called me once and left a voice mail message because I was traveling. I did email him and text him a few times in addition to returning his call and leaving two voice mail messages because I wanted to confirm that we were indeed moving as planned and I wanted to confirm the crew's arrival time. The night before our move I finally received a text back confirming that, yes, they would be there the next morning as discussed 3 weeks prior and he provided me with their anticipated arrival time. Being someone who likes to confirm and make sure we're on the same page, this lack of communication made me nervous. But other than that, this was a good experience.
