After moving four times in two years, I was ready to take a break. However, price was a large concern. My original plan was to hire two people from Craigslist at my old apartment to load my U-Haul, drive the U-haul while towing my car, then hiring two more people off Craigslist at the new apartment. That was proving to be quite a hassle and was much more stress than I wanted. However, I called the Friendly Movers from an add on Craigslist. I was only looking for help loading the U-haul at my old apartment, but found out that they could do my entire move for only a little more than it would have cost me to orchestrate about 6 people and drive myself. I was even more surprised when they could make my required move date since I only called two weeks in advance. I was sold.
My three movers arrived on time and were very polite. They followed any and all instructions I gave them, and even helped me get the trash out before we left. They moved me about 70 miles East which takes 90 minutes just to get there. In addition, I moved from one downtown apartment into another one, so we had to be mindful of on-street parking. Once we arrived and unloaded at the new place, they hung back to make sure there was nothing else they could help move around for me. They treated my boxes and furniture like they would their own, so I didn’t have to worry about anything broken or lost. I appreciated the thoroughness and good spirits. They made this last move far and away easier than my last three and I am glad I chose them.
