Emmett (owner) sent me a photo of the really new moving truck that would be used. It never occurred to me that it is important to have new equipment that makes it easy for the men loading and unloading. I paid by the hour for the move and was given a written binding estimate. Emmet made an on site visit to verify cost.
I did receive a call from the dispatcher the night before as I was told.
On moving day,a three man crew showed up ready to work(On time as promised). Tony, Pascuel and Max were a good match for a team. The group worked as a team-joked with each other, helped each other and looked out for my stuff. Strong, healthy and sober men. They worked the entire time loading my furnishings.
As a part of my move, I asked if the company would stop by my daughters house and unload a dining set & mattress. No one was at my daughters home during the day. I asked Tony to call me when they were 30 minutes out from my daughter's home, so I could call her to go home during a break.
Sure enough Tony did call. I then called my daughter to go meet the movers. I was 1 hour behind the truck and did not know it was pouring rain. Tony called back to report no one answered the door. I asked if they to unload the furniture at the side of the house. He asked if I was sure because it was raining-the porch would keep the furniture dry. He didn't have to think it through like he did.
When I arrived at my home, the moving team was busy working. They worked the entire time. Nothing was lost or broken. The final price was the price they quoted in the beginning.
