Move from : Houston, TX to Irvine CA.
Good thing : very quick delivery (3 days)
Now the bad things....

  1. The price at pickup was bumped up and after lot of negotiation and finally deciding to cancel my order, they agreed to a negotiable value (which was 400 bucks more than the initial quote) .

  2. Added long carry at pickup as the parking lot was few yards more than they expected.. this was ridiculous (note my apartment was on the 1st floor)

  3. Now at the Delivery...
    a. they bought the items in a 18 Wheel trailer and refused to get that inside the apartment complex which is a non gated community having 2 lane road.
    b. The driver told me that a shuttle would be required. it is another 700 bucks. but after lot of negotiation he agreed upon 300 bucks..
    but I was surprised that he disassembled his trailer was able to deliver my items without a shuttle (smaller truck) .If that was possible he should have told me the option before..really. And first of all they should have not brought the items in a such a long trailer as no apartment in entire US would be able to fit in such thing at ease. So it should have been communicated to me earlier and they should have added it in the quote itself.
    c. the worst thing.. I received my Items in bad shape.

3 of the furniture items were broken and few of my cookeries.
i. The book shelf was broken and had to be trashed
ii. My coffee table limb was broken and they applied glue to it.
ii. One of the limbs of the dinning chair was also broken.

Late to pick up by 10 hrs. Still loading at 2:00 am. New family was waiting to move in. All household goods were transfered from semi trailer to a bobtail with leaking roof. Delivered 10 days late in bobtail that leaked oil all over a brand new driveway. Damaged, wet and missing property. Unloading after midnight and refusing to set up furniture. Claim company obviously controlled by "Worst Moving" because they offered $250 for $2000 worth of damage. Never received.

I hired Best Moving & Storage to move a smaller load of furniture from Houston, Texas to Sidney, MT. They picked up the furniture on October 23rd. The amount of the move was increased twice. Once because they said geographic location would make it a dead end move and the second time because of a minimum weight requirement. Even with the increases the rate was still reasonable, because I was promised delivery before November 1st. Today is November 19th and they still do not have a delivery date. I spoke with Lisa King (their service representative) and she informed me of a small clause in the contract (very tiny print) that precludes them from shipping date guarantees because of geographic locations. It sounds like geographic locations could mean anywhere in the USA. Lisa wouldn't even give me an approximate delivery date. When I asked if it was weeks or months, she indicated it could be either. I told Lisa I needed the furniture by Thanksgiving and she agreed that renting a truck and coming to their storage facility in Houston and retrieving it may be the only way I would get the furniture in a timely manner. No offer of any type of refund was given. When I asked if I could talk to her (Lisa's) supervisor, she said the supervisor would call me back later that day. Surprise - no phone calls. I hope the someone in the company cares enough about their reputation to resolve this issue and deliver my furniture.
