We got moved! I guess that's the only important part, right? They broke an important piece to a table we have. We asked right before they drove off, "where's the table piece?". He comes back with the glass in pieces! Glass is easily broken, I understand. But he would've never told us about it if we wouldn't have asked about it. Which leads me to believe that the 2 pictures that we are missing are somewhere broken. I've called and emailed front office and they have yet to call me back. This was my first time using movers and I will never use Easy Moving Co. again. And will stray my friends and colleagues away from them as well. *UPDATE* I did hear from claims regarding my broken glass and 2 missing pictures. Claims asked me to delete/revise my review on Thumbtack THEN they will mail me a check reimbursing me for my missing/broken items. Their exact words were "Once the review is fixed, we will send you out a check for the claim settlement". That's unfair. I asked them why did I have to change my review in order to get reimbursed for something they broke/stole and they said "as a mutual good faith gesture"! I just want my glass fixed and pictures replaced. It's March and I have yet to be reimbursed from my move in November. HIRE ANYONE BUT THEM!

Shocked by the service that I received by Steven C.

I scheduled a move with Easy Moving Company Saturday, November 9th @ 8am and the movers showed up on time. The move started in a positive way but as the day went on there were issues that occurred to make this turn into a negative experience. I have clear photos of various things that were damaged and/or broken beyond repair.

File Bin - I had my office paperwork stored in a clear been and it was broken beyond repair on one side

CD/Movie Case Holder - Was dropped, broke into 2 pieces and cracked/chipped throughout

Front Door to Apt. - They were moving my sofa out and dented & scratched the front door in several places

Armour in bedroom = When they were moving this, they dented and scratched the side.

Also, the movers placed my entertainment center glass in the hall closet of my old apartment so they wouldn't break it but they forgot to get it when they were done moving everything out. I gave them the key after they finished moving everything into the new apartment so they could go retrieve it. They brought the glass but they forgot to give me my apartment keys back. I called them to let them know of this and they said they would bring it back later that evening, which was fine. Unfortunately, they never showed up or called. I tried to call back on Sunday but no one picked up and the voice mail was full so I could not leave a message. I sent a text but there was no response.

During the final stages of the move, the movers told me to make sure that I call the office so that my things they damaged or broke will be replaced. When I called the office here is the correspondence that did not make this move any better to get a resolution:

11/10/2014 - Sent email and called to explain my moving experience. I was told that I would need to send the statement along with pictures to the claims department. I asked about getting my apartment keys back and was informed that they will contact the movers to see where the keys are.
11/10/2014 - Called and spoke with Dani & Jessica throughout the day to get pictures to go through. They told me that the movers informed them that they did not have my keys and that they placed them on my countertop after dropping off my entertainment glass top. Which is different from what the movers told me over the phone on the 8th after they moved me.
11/11/2014 - Was able to send photos 1 at a time to Dani & Dani confirmed that all pictures have been received. I also communicated with Dani that what the movers told her about my key did not happen. I unpacked everything and no keys were left on my countertop. I asked to speak with the manager and she said she will give him the message to call me.
11/17/2014 @ 7:04 am - Called and spoke with Dani about not receiving a follow-up about claim and that my keys are still nowhere to be found. She informed me at this time that the claim department has 20 days to send a letter that they have received the claim and are working on it. She said she spoke with the movers and the guy handed me the glass and placed my keys on the countertop. I told her that I was going downstairs while the mover were going upstairs to place my glass inside the apartment, so he could not have handed me anything. When I came back upstairs the movers had already left. I asked to speak to the manager again but he was not in the office.
12/9/2014 - Received an email from the claims department asking to submit my copy of the contract, how much I paid, if I paid in cash and was I present for the move. I sent the information to them as requested.
12/31/2014 - I get an email from the claims department stating that my claim is denied! There was no reason as to why, even with clear pictures of broken items!!!
I called the office and demanded that I speak with a manager and yet again there is no manager that works there. I informed them that they are stating false information about having a guarantee that all damaged items will be covered by their insurance. All she could say is if you would like to call the TXDMV a file a report there you can.

In closing, it is my recommendation that you do not use this company unless you do not mind getting your items damaged and not replaced. I work in the apartment industry and have referred this company several times but after this experience I regret ever doing so. Keep this in mind as you choose a moving company, yes they can have several good moves but how do they handle the bad moves? What do they do or have you do to make the situation better and right?
