I am about to write a little love letter about Bookstore Movers, but they deserve it.
Simply put: They are pros and the best out there. They run their company like the business it is; they respond to emails and calls in a timely manner, they are very upfront about their pricing and they treat the customer with respect. Before Bookstore, I used a mover who sounded like he was in the middle of a move when I called. Shocker! They got the day wrong and I was up a creek the day of my move. Since finding Bookstore, I have used them 4 times and have never had a bad experience.
Up until to this move, I lived alone. Executing a move without help is a stressful endeavor, but they always set my mind at ease. They send helpful packing lists and confirmed my move a few days before, as well as provided the names of my movers. It is a small touch, but as a single woman with three dudes just showing up at her door, it is good to have a list of names. Finally, they provide the cell number for the crew chief the day of the move in case you need to reach them. I have never had to use the number, though; they have always called when they are about 20 minutes away.
The movers are friendly, smart and really take good care of your things. I have had witty banter with all my crews (everything from the merits of JD Salinger to breaking news stories). They also send the appropriate amount of guys needed for the job; no scraping by with bare bones crews here. I really appreciate that the crew at Bookstore is not overworked until injury. It speaks well of the management.
Are they the absolute cheapest company out there? No, they aren't. But they are not the most expensive, either. I don't think bargain shopping is the way to go when you are moving furniture and keepsakes. I am really hoping to stay put for a while, but I would use them again in a heart beat. I have referred over half a dozen friends over the years and received nothing but glowing reviews.
Stop looking and schedule Bookstore!
