Full Stride Moving Company Reviews - 4

Terrible by Hope W.

They did a terrible job loading my trailer. I provided moving blankets, plastic wrap, rope, bungees and ratcheting tie downs. The only thing used were the moving blankets and they were merely tossed over items. Several of my pieces of furniture were damaged, mostly from rubbing but a few pieces of wood furniture have gouges. One of my bicycles needs a completely new rim because it got bent. Tried communicating with them and I will need a lawyer to go further. See my yelp review for an update and pictures.

Stay awayby M P.

I made a reservation for 2pm. That morning, the company called to say the packers had finished their first job early and asked if they could come directly to my house. I found this unprofessional - and I wasn't ready for them before noon.
When the guys (early 20s) did arrive, one had just finished smoking. The other seemed to be brand-new.
They moved fast, too fast. They refused to allow me to remove the drawers from my dressers before carrying them out and down my porch steps. One dresser now has white wall paint embedded in its finish due to them scraping it against a corner.
They also loaded the truck too quickly. I didn't see the first two rows of large furniture that they loaded. When I unpacked, I found they hadn't padded or protected several large furniture items AT ALL. They also didn't use ANY straps. I had ~3 dozen straps and several boxes of blankets and other padding material. When they were finished, I still had ~3 dozen straps and lots of padding material. As I drove the truck 2,000 miles to my destination, I listened to different pieces of furniture bang against each other in the back of the truck. All of this was behind the box spring and so out of view. My newly-reupholstered couch now has black grease stains due to not being covered AT ALL with ANYTHING.
The biggest disappointment was the lead packer's attitude. When the guys arrived, my mother took them to see the large number of already wrapped pictures and glass that I would be moving. They refused to tell her how/where they planned to load it. In fact, they ignored it until the very end. By this point, the lead packer had become frustrated - due to the heat? He had sweated through his T-shirt and was soaking the cardboard boxes with his sweat - and refused to talk to us at all. The last items - a step stool and something else metal, I can't remember - he tossed on top of the uneven stacks of boxes without securing them. Neither did he secure a wooden rocking chair, even though there was 4 feet of empty space between it and the door of the truck. He propped all the glass against the wall of the truck and angled the mattress over it. Recipe for everything breaking!
At this point, before the 2-hour reserved time had passed, I sent the guys home. My mom called the company to tell them about our experience and was accused of just wanting more guys to come out for free. The company manager was extremely rude. When she explained that the guys hadn't used any straps to secure things, he told her it was our responsibility to provide the straps, blah, blah... We had 3 dozen straps that the guys wouldn't use!
She and I spent the next 7 hours unloading and re-loading everything back to the box spring: all pictures and glass, mattress, chairs, boxes, etc. We finished in the dark at 11pm. As a result, we didn't have the evening to clean and so were delayed half a day on our departure.
So, we paid for labor that was unsatisfactory and that had to be re-done, several pieces of nice furniture arrived damaged, and we had a very negative experience with the packing guy and manager.
I would not recommend this company to anyone, ever, for anything. Find a professional moving company - this is not one.

Excellentby Doug G.

Full Stride Moving did a great job moving my things out of the moving truck in Milwaukee that I had just driven from the Chicago area. Very efficient and friendly.

Highly recommendedby Jamie H.

Tarrin and his crew were everything you could want in a mover. The crew was prompt, knowledgeable, polite, professional, and they never stopped working. They stayed until the job was done, were accommodating, and nothing was missing or damaged. Highly, highly recommended..
