Unacceptable Delivery and Serviceby

I don't believe one of these positive reviews is real.... I would not even give them one star if I didn't have to. They quoted us $1450 for a move then pumped it up to over $2975 when they arrived on moving day. They said they would check the weight to make sure they were charging us properly and would refund any over charges. That was over two months ago, and they have not tried to contact us once. On top of that....Furniture was damaged and missing. A ladder was gone, a full toolbox full of tools, Mirrors smashed, headboard deeply gouged, speakers crushed, accessories for furniture missing at least two boxes never made it. Upon delivery the driver and his assistant were condescending and lazy with the work we paid for. Things we wanted upstairs, remained downstairs. Everything was put together wrong and upside down as if a child did the work. When I tried to correct them they totally condescended me and made it clear that they would not accept my help because they were in too much of a hurry and making me feel like I was being threatened in my own home. They tricked and intimidated me into signing the invoice saying it was normal practice to sign and then resolve any issues, but once it is signed they basically tell you to take a walk. I would not only recommend that you never even consider this company but suggest that they are worth investigating as a larcenous, dishonorable, disreputable group of trash. In the end it cost me about $4,000 more to move than the original quote due to damage, labor to repair what they damaged, replacement etc... "Should their tires fail, and their phones go dead...May their backs go out and their larcenous resale of all they steal be paid back tenfold.... I pray to you, oh lord in heaven, make them pay the comeuppance of evil doers and dishonorable dealers - Amen"!

Brett, I am so so so sorry to hear about this experience with your movers. I promise you as a moving coordinator it is our duty to pair you with movers that do a quality job. Please call our customer service number so we can assist you with filing a claim and making sure that the movers assist you with compensation for your items moving forward. Thank you "Owner of the Company" I called your company today to try to see what they were willing to do to help me. I was informed that two months later is a bit long to try to make a claim. I was given the URL of the actual carrier (Ocean Moving and Storage) to file a claim with them. The woman I spoke with was very nice and this is not personal about her, but I am a bit vexed regarding the fact that you would put a time limit on making a claim when my property is gone and damaged for life. That is unacceptable. She did tell me to contact her if nothing came of my claim and I appreciate that offer. Only time will tell. I will be posting regularly regarding this issue. It's is a good thing that I am a writer......it will not bore me.

I hope to hear from Ocean Moving and Storage...I will let you know.

This all totals $2,510.00 (not including the cost of going to Thailand to replace the display stand they broke, as well as my time needed to refurbish the stuff that can not be simply replaced I am just sick over this stuff.

Poor and unethical service in every wayby

DO NOT BELIEVE THE 5 STAR REVIEWS - THESE ARE FAKE.

It's a shame there is no way to shut them down. Roman will woo you when you contact them, he is friendly. Once contract is signed you won't be able to get ahold of him much. It may be hard to get them to even come pick up your load as it was for me. Maybe they are better at that for local deliveries. They finally said "ok ok we will pick it up because we said we would" - picked up 2 days late. They showed up with 2 bozos who would not speak much English, only two moving blankets in the truck, no ties to restrain the load, no wide saran wrap rolls that are required on all furniture to keep it from being damaged.
When they showed up they have this scam they do to everyone (see other reviews) by saying this is a much bigger load than you said it was and will charge you another 30-50%.

I had to call many times to get them to finally deliver the load a month later. The furniture was all wrecked. Parts were missing. Chunks of wood broken off, and that cheap beige tape had been placed directly on the surface of wood so the stains and surface are damaged everywhere. Many boxes were crushed but I had packed those well.

I find out later that they added the code "SC" - which means scratched - next to all furniture items on the inventory sheets.
I found out later they took apart some of the furniture and didn't deliver all of the parts to me.
I found out later that the driver would refuse to follow the insurance protocol to inspect any damaged items and both sign off on that inventory line item.

I found out later the driver would drive off without signing the bill of lading or any of the paperwork which would invalidate any insurance claim.
I found out later that they have a habit of harassing unhappy customers who post poor reviews.
I found out later that these people have many many terrible reviews on Google reviews and on Yelp - if only everyone checked these sites before hiring them.
I found out later that Angies List is a business oriented site and not a customer oriented site - they no longer show any data for this company because they don't want you to see how bad they are so they just have no results.I spoke to them so I know this is true.

They are a few abusive nefarious individuals who know how to stay in business while doing the worst possible job. This company is a total scam of a business at every level. If I had read the reviews on yelp and google before I had hired them I would never would have. They should be put out of business. They destroy lives.
