"Worst 3 days ever!"Review of Presidential Moving
Presidential Moving is a complete fraud. They do NOT have trucks, they lie from the get-go. Estimates and contracts mean NOTHING to them. Amber the agent we signed with lied about EVERYTHING. We were assured they were not brokers and had their own trucks and professional movers and that an 18-wheel truck would pick our belongings in Texas for the 16 hour interstate move to Alabama. The binding moving estimate was higher than others but we did not want a broker and boxes for two mirrors and TVs were added at no charge. Original binding estimate was $7,900. She also gave a web site with their state registrations and we were convienced. The day before the move, Daniel called and now the cost of the move had increased to $11,454.40 as he went over inventory again and stated our cf had gone up although we were leaving a washer and dryer and swing and numerous other things for the new owners of the house in Texas. What were we to do on the day before an interstate move? They did show up within a reasonable time on the date of the move BUT in a rented Penske truck. No way our belongings would go in a rented truck, or we would have moved ourselves. We were assured another truck would be there shortly. It arrived at 8:30 at night. Late in the night they did finish loading. The packers did a good job loading the two trucks. NO ONE AT PRESIDENTIAL MOVING COULD BE CONTACTED VIA PHONE OR INTERNET. When they were loaded, we were now given a contract with the final price of $14,135. Again, what were we to do? They had our belongings and we needed to be in Alabama. AGAIN, NO ONE COULD BE REACHED AT PRESIDENTIAL MOVING. On the road, we tried numerous times to arrange a time for delivery as the movers did not have a clue what time our furniture might arrive in Alabama. Two days later, we saw two DIFFERENT trucks, Enterprise trucks this time, at the end of our driveway but the movers would not bring our furniture down the drive until we paid the rest of the $14,135. We were determined we would not pay UNTIL we saw our belongings. My husband walked with the mover, by the way they were Russians except for two men in Texas, and spoke VERY limited english and he did let my husband see our furniture. There were only two Russian men this time and worked very hard. We cannot even begin to describe the damage done to many items. Crushed fragile crystal boxes, bent doors on our new upright freezer so that it will not close now, many, many broken items, and downright missing items. The trucks had been repacked as evident by different trucks now and looked like things had just been thrown in. There were also someone else's things and we ended up with some poor child's new unboxed toys. We will never know where our missing things went but we just hope wherever they went they are used!!! We had read and researched for three months trying to chose a good mover. The reviews are all bogus and downright lies. DO NOT USE THESE THIEVES.
