Trouble started right from the first phone call as the number I called from the internet took me to a salesman named Eric's cell phone, so lesson one is know who you're calling and research them. I began the conversation by asking their rates for two men and their truck. The salesman asked what type of items we needed to move so I listed them starting with our very heavy full size gun safe. I continued with a large tool chest and compressor which were also very heavy. He then said we would probably need 3 men instead of 2 which I agreed to.
Since the connection we had wasn't that great due to the fact we were both on cell phones, I suggested we communicate via text and email. He sent me an email outlining the charges and date of service which I replied with agreement.
The movers called me the day of the move on their way to their destination and asked what it was they were moving - RED FLAG the salesman hadn't even told them what to expect. When I mentioned the gun safe he said he hadn't been told of a gun safe and didn't have the proper equipment to move it. George the driver said he would have to go back the the office to get a gun safe Dollie if they had one available. SECOND RED FLAG...charges were supposed to begin when they arrived at their destination but not only did they begin their charges when they left the office but they continued on the clock when they went back to the office to look for the Dollie.
After all our items were loaded from our small condo and a friends garage they headed to our new home and upon arrival were angry that their salesman hadn't told them there wasn't black-top all the way back to the shop where we wanted the heaviest of items delivered. There was a road base driveway which dump trucks and cement trucks had driven on multiple times but George refused to take his 18 Wheel Semi truck down the same drive and backed his truck on the same kind road base driveway to the house and unloaded all heavy items into our garage.
The hardest thing to accept was the amount of time it took to move our few items from a small condo and a garage to the new house. My husband and 5 friends had moved those same items into the condo and garage in 3 hours. Even though we had more men moving us it shouldn't have taken these 3 movers 7 hours to complete this move. The total bill was $1200.00 for something that shouldn't have been more that $600.00 at most. They moved at a snails pace and took time after each item to fold blankets and stand around.
All I can say is watch out with this company!!
